API method

vision.motion

Configures native frame-difference motion detection and returns a motion value.

Syntax

Atlas Script
vision.motion(roi?, threshold?, min_area?, enabled?)

Parameters

roi Optional
Optional region of interest: a four-value [x, y, width, height] array. Pass null when the method accepts a full-frame scan.
threshold Optional
Detection or matching threshold. Higher values require a stronger match.
min_area Optional
Minimum detected area to retain. Smaller candidates are ignored.
enabled Optional
Optional boolean that turns this configured tool on or off. Use true to process it and false to keep its configuration without running it.

Return value

Returns motion.

Remarks

Configures native frame-difference motion detection and returns a motion value. Read/set enabled, overlay, roi, threshold, min_area; read results, count, target.

Examples

Detect motion and edges.atlas
const centerRoi = [0.25, 0.25, 0.50, 0.50];
motion movement = vision.motion(centerRoi, 0.20, 25, true);
edges edgeAreas = vision.edges(centerRoi, 0.35, 25, true);

event on_frame() {
    ui.status(string.format("Motion {} edges {}", movement.count, edgeAreas.count));
}
