Account, Discord and activation
Your Atlas access belongs to your Atlas account. First-time activation connects that account, its verified Discord identity, and this Windows PC.
Pre-release documentation: current Atlas activation flow. Public downloads and checkout availability are shown on their respective pages.
Before you start
- Create an Atlas account with your email address and verify it.
- Make sure your account has active Atlas access. Check your account page; available plans are listed on the pricing page.
- In your account's Desktop & profile section, connect or verify the Discord account you want to use. Follow any account security prompts. Keep access to both accounts.
Sign in for the first time
- Open Atlas and let its initial authorization check finish. If this computer is already approved and your access is current, Atlas opens automatically.
- If activation is needed, select Sign in with your Atlas account. Atlas opens your default web browser.
- Sign in on
atlascomputervision.comif asked. Check that the displayed account is yours. - Enter your Atlas activation code, which starts with
AT2-, and select Confirm for this account. To get a code, open your account page in another tab, choose Desktop & profile, select your active access, and choose Create activation code. You can also use Get an activation code on the confirmation page. - Select Continue with Discord in the browser and approve with the Discord account linked to your Atlas account.
- When the browser says Authorization recorded, return to Atlas. It checks the completed request and opens automatically when access is authorized.
AT2- activation code from your account.
Enter your Atlas password only on atlascomputervision.com and your Discord password only on discord.com. Do not share activation codes, recovery keys, passwords, or browser callback links.
If no browser opens, check Windows Settings › Apps › Default apps. Use Check existing activation to check an attempt that may already have completed. If the browser page is lost, use Cancel sign-in, wait for confirmation, then start a new sign-in.
Closing the sign-in window closes Atlas. Closing a browser page alone does not cancel the saved sign-in request.
Use a recovery key
A recovery key is for an existing license that specifically provides one. It is different from an AT2- activation code and from the pairing code shown during browser sign-in.
If your access includes a recovery key, use the existing-key option offered by Atlas and enter the key exactly as supplied. Keep it private. For account-based access, use the activation steps above.
Staying signed in
Atlas remembers the approved account and device for your Windows profile. On reopening, it shows an authorization check, contacts the server, and opens automatically when your account, access, and device are still authorized. You do not need a new activation code for each launch.
While Atlas is open, it confirms authorization about every two minutes. Each confirmation is valid for up to 5 minutes. Keep an internet connection available. If access expires, is revoked, or cannot be verified, protected activity stops until authorization succeeds.
A remembered account name is not proof of current access. Server checks still apply when local account information is available.
To leave this Windows profile signed out, use Sign out in Atlas and confirm. Signing out stops protected work; it does not cancel your paid subscription. Manage billing separately from your account page.
If a sign-in was interrupted
Atlas keeps the pending request so you can continue it. If the original browser page is still open, finish there. Use Resume saved account sign-in or Check existing activation when offered.
To abandon a pending request, select Cancel sign-in. Atlas asks the server to cancel it before clearing the saved request. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, it keeps the request so you can retry or resume. An already completed activation is preserved.
When the request has ended or Atlas confirms cancellation, choose Sign in with your Atlas account to begin again. Do not delete Atlas's saved account files to force a retry.
Sign-in problems
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The browser asks for an activation code. | Use the AT2- code from Desktop & profile in your Atlas account. The pairing code in the app will not work in that field. |
| Authorization recorded in the browser; Atlas is still waiting. | Return to Atlas and let its server check finish. If needed, select Check existing activation. Do not create another request while the current one is completing. |
| Atlas is waiting for confirmation. | Finish the original browser page. If it is unavailable, select Cancel sign-in and wait for confirmation before starting again. |
| Atlas could not confirm cancellation. | Your saved request has been kept. Check the connection, then retry cancellation or resume the original sign-in. |
| Authorization cannot be checked. | See Atlas cannot connect. An unavailable server does not mean you need to reset your account. |
| Authorization was denied, or a support reference is shown. | Check that your access is active and the correct Discord account is linked. Keep the support reference when reporting the problem; do not send passwords or activation codes. |
